Easy Recipe for Farmhouse Style Pork Chops

January 2, 2018 Farmhouse Recipes

Here’s a recipe for mouth-watering delicious pork chops that require just a few ingredients…a little olive oil, a packet or two of Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix and some pork chops (boneless or bone-in, however you prefer!).  This recipe is super easy (5 steps total) and in my opinion there is no better way to make a pork chop!  My hubby prefers pork chops over steak (he is crazy, right??) so I tend to make pork chops quite often, but I just started using this recipe a few months ago after my mother-in-law shared it with me and I’ll have to admit…this recipe is by far the easiest and best tasting around!  Whip up some of these pork chops for your family and drop me a note on how good they tasted!

FARMHOUSE PORK CHOPS RECIPE

Step 1:  Thaw and pat dry 4-6 bone-in (or 6 boneless) pork chops.  Sprinkle both sides with salt + pepper.

Step 2:  Get your skillet nice and hot and add some oil (I use extra-virgin olive oil to cook with).

Step 3:  Sprinkle a little of the onion soup packet on the skillet and then add pork chops (single layer).  Sprinkle the rest of the packet(s) on top of the pork chops.  I tend to use a packet and a half or sometimes two (2) packets (depending on the number of pork chops).

Step 4:  After just a few minutes on high, turn down heat to medium/medium high and let simmer.  Flip pork chops every 5-10 minutes and let them cook until done.  Add more water, if needed.  Total cook time should be less than 30 minutes, unless you bought some thick chops!

Step 5:  Watch as your family devours this delicious meal in minutes (or seconds if you have teenagers).  Oh, and don’t forget the mashed potatoes…pork chops must be eaten with some kind of potato.  I think it’s a law or…something like that!
